Gosser Dark (500ml Bottle)
Dark brown body with ruby highlights, small persistant offwhite head atop. Roasted malt nose, nuts, toffee, dark chocolate, brown sugar with a bit of dried fruit in there for good measure. Reasonably lean body, creamy carbonation, smooth texture, drying but not as much as you would expect from a beer of this colour. Smooth body packed full of delicous malt flavours nut and chocolate seem prominant, has a slight toffee sweetness, with hints of prunes, bread and coffee. Finish is quite abrupt, not overly bitter. Particularly nice and approachable dark beer.
Copper to dark brown. Medium body. Nutty, toasted, chocolatelike malty sweetness in aroma and flavor. Medium bitterness. Low "noble-type" hop flavor and aroma. No fruitiness or esters.
