Palm Speciale (300ml Bottle)
PALM Ale has long been one of Europes top-selling specialty beers. Made with English hops, French Barley, and Belgian yeast, PALM represents the best of European beer-making traditions. Its the roasted Champagne Malt which gives PALM its amber colour, but without being heavy.
A nice amber coloured beer with a good head. The nose detects a sweet malty scent with a pinch of butterscotch. The taste is bittersweet with a strong hoppiness. Very dry, carbonated mouthfeel, which turns to a strong hop and spicy aftertaste that seems to stay forever.
Belgian-style ales seldom fit neatly into classic beer styles, but this category represents those "session" ales (in Belgium this means under 7% abv!) that do not fit other categories. Colour ranges from golden to deep amber, with the occasional example coming in darker. Body tends to be light to medium, with a wide range of hop and malt levels. Yeastiness and acidity may also be present.
