Schneider Aventinus (500ml Bottle)
Description
Dark ruby, glistening mysteriously, streaked with fine, top-fermented yeast, this beer has a compact, stable and long-lasting head. It has an intensive, typically top-fermented clove-like aroma. The palate experiences a gentle touch, on the tongue it is very full-bodied, compact and yet fresh with a hint of caramel. It finishes with a light and delicate taste of bitters leaving behind a strong, smoothly rounded, sour impression.
This beer has a best before date of 21 March, 2018
Tasting Notes
Pours a dark golden brown, with a whitish head that dissipates quickly. Very, very tantalising and complex brew. Nose of dark malts, caramel and dried dark fruits along with vanilla and cloves. Tastes like Christmas pudding or fruitcake with the traditional weizen flavours of vanilla, clove and spices but with the added alcohol warming sensation. Delicious!
Weizen Bock
Strong, dark wheat beers. Weizenbocks typically have a high ester profile, with more malt and alcohol than is typically associated with a wheat beer.
