Weezledog Easy Weezy Session IPA (500ml Bottle)
On long hot summer days the modern beer drinker often wants to enjoy a few fine hoppy beers without the inconvenience of becoming drunk in the midday sun. The time is right to reach for a fully hopped beer, without the full alcohol of an IPA.
Our interpretation, Easy Weezy, is a deceptive little Session IPA. Just enough maltiness from the Munich Malt to provide the backbone for this little NZ hopped hop-bomb. We ferment with a West Coast style ale yeast to ensure a clean and crisp base for all the hops that follow. Using more hops than other breweries may use in their Double IPAs, we borrowed the long, smooth bitterness character of our bestselling Hopster NZIPA, utilising an obscene amount of whirlpool and dry hopping heavily the flavour of the hops is fresh and punchy. The balance is bitter with lots of tropical fruit and a long bitter finish, making it the perfect beer for the responsible hop-head.
This is a great entry point to our range, and New Zealand craft beer in general, balanced malt and hops, firmly bitter and highly drinkable this may well be your gateway to the ever changing and expanding world of Kiwi craft beers.
Made, as always, with all local malt and hops, the water is pure and has no added minerals or salts providing a natural beer with a true New Zealand flavour.
The term Session IPA describes a category of beers marketed for their hop-dominant flavor profiles at "sessionable" levels of alcohol. While this is typically 3.2 - 4.6 percent alcohol, a few have stretched the definition.
