Beer Academy Rye Pale Ale
Rye Pale Ale was built to let hte unique sensation of rye Malt shine though. Although a generally difficult ingredient to work with, we created a malt bill that is 30% rye grains to really show off the peppery and grainy character of the rye. The resulting beer is a pale gold sunshine colour with a tight white foam and aromas of grapefruit zest, lime, coriander, soft white pepper and grainy rye bread. The palate opens up with a balance of smooth malts and medium bitterness that is focused on concentrated orange juice and pepper again. The finish is off-dry with a clean refreshing touch.
Beer made with a speciality grain, most typically rye, but also common are rice, sorghum, millet, corn, buckwheat, oats and spelt. As this is a catch-all category, alcohol levels, bitterness, and color vary.
