Description

The science behind roasting and brewing extends beyond the brewery. And a brewer’s (second) best friend is a great cup of coffee. This prompted us to conduct a little experiment with our friends at Detour Coffee Roasters. We combined a single-hop pale ale with freshly brewed BufCafe Rwandan coffee. The result is a beautiful blend of hop-induced tropical fruitiness, fruity tamarind, orange and stone fruit from the coffee beans. We didn’t want to mask these flavours and aromas behind malt sweetness or roast. Instead, we highlighted the amazing combination of some of the world’s best coffee and hops.

American Pale Ale

American Pale Ales are light in color, ranging from golden to a light copper color. The style of this beer is defined by the American hops used. American hops typically have high bitterness and aroma.This is a perfect beer for big fare like grilled burgers or combination pizzas, as well as lighter fare like sushi and green salads.
