Rare Bird Spruce Ale

Description

This heritage ale takes us back to our Maritime brewing traditions in 1659 when spruce was used to flavour beer, a staple both on shore and on the sailing ships that came into Guysborough harbour. Today, our hand-picked local spruce buds are added to the hops in the brewing process, creating a crisp, medium body ale with a refreshing spruce nose that captures the arrival of spring on the Authentic Seacoast.
