Dominion City Honey Bear & Friends Granola Porter
Brewed with honey from Radical Homestead, a local apiary in Blackburn Hamlet, this traditional porter is the fourth installment in the Dominion City Terroir Series, a line up of single-batch beers built around a central, locally-sourced ingredient. Loaded with oats grown and rolled a stone’s throw from Ottawa and intense biscuity malt, flavours include, toasted grain, malted milk, chocolate and medium-bodied coffee complemented by a subtle earthy honey character.
Black or chocolate malt gives the porter its dark brown color. Porters are well hopped and heavily malted. This is a medium-bodied beer. Porters can be sweet. Hoppiness can range from bitter to mild. Porters are often confused with stouts.
