Folly Longest Shadow
Farmhouse Session Porter. It’s dark and cold out and what goes better with the dark and cold than a dark, cold porter? This is a lighter take on our Little Barasway Farmhouse Porter and is brewed using chocolate malt and Brettanomyces Lambicus. It’s light bodied but sweet, roasty, and chocolaty with a hint of burnt toffee and dried red fruits on the finish. It has a long dark chocolate finish and a touch of pepper and spicy from the saison yeast found in this Escarpment Labs custom blend.
Black or chocolate malt gives the porter its dark brown color. Porters are well hopped and heavily malted. This is a medium-bodied beer. Porters can be sweet. Hoppiness can range from bitter to mild. Porters are often confused with stouts.
