8 Wired Halfway To Whangarei Grissette (500ml Bottle)
Our collaboration with Modern Times out of San Diego called Halfway to Whangarei. We brewed a Grisette and fermented it in one of our foeders with a Modern Times house yeast strain of Brett. Halfway to Whangarei turned out as a light bodied, complex, fruity and slightly tart Grisette which is a farmhouse style of beer the coal miners used to drink.
Fruity esters dominate the aroma. Clarity is good with a large foamy head on top. The addition of several spices and herbs create a complex fruity or citrusy flavor. Light to medium bodied with very high carbonation. Alcohol level is medium to high.
