Emerson's Pilsner (330ml Bottle)
A ‘Kiwi Classic’, Pilsner is a showcase for Nelson grown Riwaka hops. Its overt fruitiness begs comparison with Marlborough’s world-beating Sauvignon Blancs. Emerson’s Pilsner oozes citrus and passionfruit aromas and flavours. The beer’s palate shows a hint of early malt sweetness but develops a lengthy dry finish.
Possibly the first organic beer produced in New Zealand, it is made from imported organic barley malt and hops grown organically in Motueka. Brewed in the tradition of German Pilseners, it is crisp with a delicate malt flavour and a lingering bitter finish.
While the definition of "pilsner" is open to much debate in the beer community, it generally refers to pale, hoppy lagers, ranging from 28IBUs and up.
