Epic Alien Invasion IIPA (440ml Can)
If I told you last year what 2020 would hold in ways of surprises and how much our lives would change, you wouldn’t have believed me. As the year comes to a close I think we are all feeling that there couldn’t possibly be any more surprises. Well what about an Alien Invasion? Haha, here it is. The final act of 2020. A beer that will top the year of WTF.
This invasion of your senses will definitely be alien to you. It uses the recently released, brand new US grown TALUS hop (previously known as HBC 692). This hop is described as pink grapefruit, citrus rinds, dried roses, pine resin, tropical fruits and sage. We have blended Talus with Pacfic Jade and Mosaic hops for extra fruit, extra dank and extra probe. The aroma is like opening a can of peaches in fruit syrup. It is not till you taste it, that the mind control beam takes hold. The Talus zaps you with a slight woody note, mind melded with sweet delicious summer and tropical fruits. Possibly even a taste of mega-fruit from the mega tree which upon shelving achieves a short period of super-intelligence.
The bitterness is like Bill & Ted hitting the base string on a guitar with the amp tuned up to 11. Not only does the bitterness reverberate across your pallet but there is a noticeable level of feedback.
Imperial IPA, Double IPA or DIPA is a strong, often sweet, intensely hoppy version of the traditional India Pale Ale. Bitterness units range upward of 100 IBUs and alcohol begins at 7.5% but is more commonly in the 8.5-10% range. The flavour profile is intense all-round. Unlike barley wines, the balance is heavily towards the hops, with crystal and other malts providing support.
