Golden Bear Ulf's Undoing (750ml Bottle)
Ulf's Undoing was inspired by the antics of home brewers making beer under difficult circumstances.
When the alarm was raised over what was mistakenly thought to be a house fire, the authorities discovered a malt smoking operation connected to the small brewery - the discovery led to Ulf's Undoing.
Made from Pilsner, roast malt, chocolate rye and of course a little Manuka smoked malt, this rich Baltic Porter is complex and delicious. Slightly sweet and smoky with a big mouth-feel, Ulf's Undoing can now be yours too!
The historical remnants of the 19th c. Baltic trade in imperial stouts, Baltic Porters are typically strong, sweet and bottom-fermented. They lack the powerful roast of an imperial stout, but have an intense malt character. Alcohol ranges from 7-9.5% abv. Though they are typically lagers, there are a handful of top-fermented examples.
