Moa Methode (330ml Bottle)
The Moa Brewing Company was established in 2003 by Josh Scott with a focus on brewing premium, boutique beers to an ever discerning beer market. Moas key point of difference is in its brewing technique. Bottled fermented and conditioned to give a natural, more consistent carbonation and flavour. The beer is left to lie on its lees until deemed ready to be disgorged, a process that involves removing most of the lees from the bottle resulting in a clean, bright beer, right to the very last drop. Hence Methode Traditionelle. Most enjoyable with food or chilled on its own.
This is a pilsener style lager which has an abundance of hoppy notes, giving the impression of sweet fruit, grassy overtones and a balanced astringency that is complex and pleasing to the nose. It has a fruity palate, with a little spiciness and a balanced hop flower bitterness.
While the definition of "pilsner" is open to much debate in the beer community, it generally refers to pale, hoppy lagers, ranging from 28IBUs and up.
