Cornhill Porter (500ml Bottle)
This distinctive style developed during the 18th century in central London, where Cornhill is the site of a mediaeval grain market.
Pours dark brown with a diminished chocolate brown head. Fruity and chocolate malty aroma. Smoked and towards tarish base flavour. Smooth chocolate and fruity with a smoke note on top. Light bitter and smooth into a light sweet finish.
Black or chocolate malt gives the porter its dark brown color. Porters are well hopped and heavily malted. This is a medium-bodied beer. Porters can be sweet. Hoppiness can range from bitter to mild. Porters are often confused with stouts.
