Yeastie Boys Blondie: Europa (330ml Bottle)

Description
Europa is the first of two beers, released in early 2011, that showcase the differences of a single ingredient. Like the Nerdherder and Monster series did with hops, these beers illuminate the difference that yeast makes in a low strength sessionable summer ale ("Europa" uses a clean German ale yeast, while "Rapture" emplys the fruitier notes of a Belgian abbey yeast). Europa: Pale and wheat malts, Nelson Sauvin and NZ Cascade hops, German ale yeast. Rapture: Pale and wheat malts, Nelson Sauvin and NZ Cascade hops, Belgian abbey yeast. ** This beer (Europa) is bottled in a limited run especially for the Beer Store and therefore does not have a label. The label in the product photography is just a sample.
Kölsch
Golden, top-fermented style native to Kln, Germany. The style has a very narrow profile and many beers that consider themselves to be kölschbiers are not. Generally they have a moderate bitterness, but fairly prominent hop flavour (typically Spalt, Tettnang or Hallertau). They have high effervescence, medium esters, but a rounded, stylish character derived from lagering.
