Yeastie Boys Red Rackham (330ml Bottle)
This rogue red ale is the result of using the wrong yeast in a batch of beer intended to be Hud-a-wa'. The hoppy red strong ale was given a good dose of Belgian funk, which most breweries would be in complete fear of, but the Yeasties really loved it (reminding them of their previous style bending ales 'Plan K' and 'Return to Magenta'). In fact, they loved it so much that they've gone ahead and created a label, meaning it will be released as a very limited one-off beer.
Belgian-style ales seldom fit neatly into classic beer styles, but this category represents those "session" ales (in Belgium this means under 7% abv!) that do not fit other categories. Colour ranges from golden to deep amber, with the occasional example coming in darker. Body tends to be light to medium, with a wide range of hop and malt levels. Yeastiness and acidity may also be present.
