Panhead CH3NO2 Mega Hopped IPA (440ml Can)

Description
It’s April, Hopstock is upon us and brewers all over the country will be stuffing tanks with whole fresh hop cones until shit spirals out of control. This year we’ve decided the best way to fight the hop wars is to say to hell with the Geneva Convention and go straight for the chemical weapons. Say hello to CH3NO2. Petrolheads and good schoolboys will recognise that alphanumeric salad as the formula for nitromethane, famous for its use in top fuel dragsters, the biggest stick in the drag racing arsenal. Take that as your cue and prepare for an 8.7% skull masher of fuming fresh Nelson Sauvin and a bunch of other things. Subtlety has been locked in the closet for its own safety. It’s a bit of a tongue twister so some practice before approaching the bar might be in order.
Tasting Notes
Imperial/Double IPA
Imperial IPA, Double IPA or DIPA is a strong, often sweet, intensely hoppy version of the traditional India Pale Ale. Bitterness units range upward of 100 IBUs and alcohol begins at 7.5% but is more commonly in the 8.5-10% range. The flavour profile is intense all-round. Unlike barley wines, the balance is heavily towards the hops, with crystal and other malts providing support.
