Behemoth Delayed Package DIPA (440ml Can)
We all remember how couriers were crazily under the pump during the lockdown. Overnight deliveries taking anywhere from a week to a month. It was madness.
Our mates from Clayton hops sent us a bunch of hop hash to put in Reeferendum our NZ IPA challenge winning beer.
They couried it up to us.. it did not make it here in time (about 2 hours late after 2 weeks of chasing). Nevermind we went on to win without it. So here is the new beer - we have used the hop hash of about 6 different NZ grown hops and combined it with insane amounts of Strata, Cashmere and Cryo Simco hops.
Big, bitter and resinous and massivley fruity. Enough to take your mind off your package being delayed.
Imperial IPA, Double IPA or DIPA is a strong, often sweet, intensely hoppy version of the traditional India Pale Ale. Bitterness units range upward of 100 IBUs and alcohol begins at 7.5% but is more commonly in the 8.5-10% range. The flavour profile is intense all-round. Unlike barley wines, the balance is heavily towards the hops, with crystal and other malts providing support.
