Baylands Glasgow Slasher (500ml Bottle)

Baylands Glasgow Slasher 500ml Bottle

Description

First brewed to celebrate 21 years of an absolute icon of the Wellington beer scene, The Malthouse, Glasgow Slasher is a big bold American barley wine featuring 21 different malts and a ridiculous volume of US hops.
Naturally we named it in honour of Colin, the Handsome yet Softly Spoken Proprietor* of said bar. If you can avoid temptation Glasgow Slasher will continue to improve with age... if you cannae resist it's still a wee beauty right now.

*We borrowed this eloquent description of Colin from the humble yet often awarded beer writer Neil Miller.

Tasting Notes

Barley Wine

A Barley Wine is a strong, top-fermenting ale, with an alcohol contents of at least 9% and up to 13% (or more) by volume. Hops may be hardly noticeable at all or very noticeable. Sip them out of the special glass, that will concentrate the aroma. They are excellent with cigars or with dessert.
