Black Sands Pacific Red Ale (500ml Bottle)
A fresh and hoppy fusion of spicy, citrusy New Zealand hops and the unmistakeable floral and orange notes of American Armarillo. This amber red ale is moderately bitter with a smooth malt base consisting of pale ale, crystal malts and roasted barley. It is fermented using the American Chico strain of yeast and is the ideal every day "session beer".
A style without definition, amber ales range from bland, vaguelly caramelly beers to products with a fairly healthy malt and hop balance. Often the differentiation between a quality amber and an American Pale is that the amber might have more dark malt character, or a less assertive hop rate.
