McLeod's Smugglers Bay Dubbel Belgian Trappist Ale (500ml Bottle)

Description

Part of the Smugglers Bay Collection, this Dubbel is our take on the classic Trappist style. Pouring with a pillowy off-white head, expect aromas of spice mingled with rich malt and dried fruit on the nose. Drinks smooth and rich with a palate of dried fruit, spice and bready malt. Finish is dry and clean with lingering malt sweetness to a balanced, rich end.

Abbey Dubbel

These are dark, malty, yeasty strong ales in the Trappist tradition, but produced (mainly) by secular brewers. Dubbels range between 6.5-8% abv, and have a dark brown, cloudy colour, and a palate mixing malt, a lush fruitiness, and yeast. They are typically bottle-conditioned.
