Titanic Stout (500ml Bottle)
A true old fashioned stout. A dark combination of malt and roast with some hops. Strongly flavoured and well balanced. Ingredients: Maris Otter pale malt, wheat malt, roasted barley. Northdown, Yakima, Galena and Goldings hops.
Almost black with cola highlights and a dense caramel coloured head which laces well. Aroma is of freshly turned earth, and lightly burned toast. Palate is pumpernickel bread, ashes, and burnt yorkshire pudding! Very drinkable, and interesting stout.
Many stouts do not fit the classic "Irish" definition as exemplified by Guinness, either due to their hop or roast rates, or higher gravity (in the case of many American stouts). They are still basic stouts, however, not falling into any of the subclasses.
