Anderson Valley Boont Amber Ale (355ml Bottle)
A medium-bodied pale ale with a beautiful copper colour, a robust head, and the rich flavour of caramel malt.
This amber pours a nice deep honey in color, with a small head and very little lacing. Taste is well rounded and very balanced. Nice touch of malt with with a crisp hop finish. One of the better Ambers i’ve had in a long time...
A style without definition, amber ales range from bland, vaguelly caramelly beers to products with a fairly healthy malt and hop balance. Often the differentiation between a quality amber and an American Pale is that the amber might have more dark malt character, or a less assertive hop rate.
